Outside the Box

From the time
                              We were born
we were told
                                            what to wear
how to wear it.
                 Also, when we reached
kindergarten we were
                                            told that we
had to write
                 in complete sentences
and write inside the lines.
                              Well I ask, why?
Why do we
           always have to abide
by societies
                           norms, and live life
inside the box.
                     Some of Americas greatest
men didnt abide
                               by the norms of society
but instead
                      went against the grain
and made a difference
                                     in not only their life
but impacted the world
             around them.
Do something different.
              Think outside the box.
                                                         Write outside the lines.
Write incomplete sentences
                            Because one day
It will make a difference.
